Jesus is very considerate of us by giving us a book of rules. Christianity is not moral. He wants our hearts to obey His principles and glorify His name so that we can share them with others.
•• So, ladies, are we glorifying him with the words we speak, or are we destroying our testimony about Christ?
My prayer for all of us is that whatever values we set for our lives and our families, we know the Biblical reason for them. I ask God to renew our minds and change the language we use. I pray that we will be filled with thanksgiving and the Holy Spirit, and that there will be no room for harsh words in our hearts. We ask that we stop looking to our peers and pop culture to tell us what is cool and acceptable – and to be accepted by bringing those around us to life with our words.
