Mane ‘n Tail The Original Shampoo And Conditioner Review
The conceptual joy of simplicity is real – but it falls short for me. I like the idea of eating the same thing for lunch every day, but not the monotonous reality of it. I like the Dr. Bruner’s 18 in 1 liquid soup idea, but it’s too dry. Bentint makes me look like a clown.
There is one exception and that is the Mane and Tail shampoo. I use it as a shampoo and body wash and if I had a horse I could use it to wash my horse too. It has a slight smell and foams and turns into a cloudy foam. The bottles are ridiculously large – if you keep one in your shower stall and it falls in the middle of the night, you’ll wake up believing a burglar has broken into the property.
But the jumbo size is good because one bottle lasts six months—and two bottles of shampoo a year is a pretty good burn rate. (If you wash twice a week, that comes to 8 cents a shampoo.) The bottle weighs just 2 pounds, which means you can swap it out for Tracy Anderson regulars of your choice. It is printed on the side of two collections. Add a generous amount of Mane & Tail shampoo to a bowl of warm water. Pre-wet the coat with plain water to remove excess dirt. Apply the shampoo solution with a sponge and massage until a thick lather appears. Leave the foam on the hair for a few minutes. Rinse until the water runs clear. towel dryer

Is Mane’n Tail the best treatment for human hair? Probably not. But it works and it’s cheap and you can buy it at almost any drugstore. This is a simplifying mechanism that I can stick with. I never eat the same thing for lunch every day or transform my wardrobe into the same set of black clothes, but at least my shower is minimal: one shampoo, one conditioner, one soap, that’s it.
