Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista and Pom Klementieff are among the returning stars in the sequel, written and directed by James Gunn.

So, the version of Gamora, with all her history with the Guardians and Peter, was killed; And, once again, Peter suffered a great loss.
How Gamora Is Alive In Guardians Of The Galaxy 3 (& Wasn’t Snapped By Iron Man)
However, in Avengers: Endgame, the Avengers’ use of time travel, which also involved Nebula, allowed Thanos and Gamora from 2014 to find the current MCU.
Thanos then uses the past and present nebula to allow himself and Gamora to travel to 2023, the current MCU.
Although Gamora doesn’t have the same experience as she did in Infinity War, she fights Thanos and discovers her alternate life with the Guardians and Peter.
This is why he was absent from the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special but will return in Vol. 3.
